Michaela draws on her spirituality once again, to reflect inspiration drawn fromthe ancient Qabbala, scripture, nature, and creation. She expresses a thirst and desire for knowledge, transcendence, and a longing for unity and completion. She conveys desires, hopes, and pain as legitimate means for forgiveness and deliverance. She expresses a longing for a redeemer, and a perfect hero and alludes to biblical
figures as such personas and archetypes in our lives.
So did it do what it said on the tin? Well yes the poems are rooted in the love of a God and her love for that God, Her hope for a redeemer hero, white knight figure to rescue her from the world of darkness.
Those emotions are the driving force of the words and inspiration set in the poems and they are clear and precise invoking visions of a loving caring Godhead who has a desire to be worshipped and adored and to adore in return.
But there lies my problem and disappointment as 160 pages of the same with little difference were hard going. A theme repeated in different words but the same notion was unfortunately sugary and sickly after a third way through. I could have put my mind in neutral as no thought was required.
I do prefer verses that challenge and provoke and this only touched the surface.
To say it is all bad would be wrong there are good points such as:
TIME AND TRUTH
Time and truth
walking hand in hand,
reality and realization
side by side.
The day they meet
is reality,
the day they are actualized
is the dream come true.
Conception and union
in truth they meet,
unity and harmony
in love adorned.
When dreams come true
realized in blessings,
when time moves on
in a spatial plan.
Time and truth
in sync for a moment,
destiny realized
actuality told.
In a single point,
in an only second,
standing together;
in reality.
They do stand out rather than being the norm and you will only recognise them if you are looking for them.
To me inspiration and the divine cover so much more then the rather narrow view expressed in this collection .

Michaela Sefler’s book of inspirational poetry, Seven Stars, is much like her previous works. Sefler’s mystical aspirations and experiences are here laid bare before the reader. Seven Stars contains over 170 poems, each kept to a single page. Fans of Sefler’s poetry will be happy to see that she has retained the poetic and visual style of pervious collections such as Through the Ages.
Through the Ages represents one woman’s spiritual journey through life. It contains 149 poems, each restrained to a single page, and deals with a wide range of topics that have affected her life. Being a collection of poetry Through the Ages is somewhat difficult to review due not only to the personal nature of much poetry but also due to the personal tastes of the reader.
There is something here for everyone inclined to such revelry. As with any bard’s salt, you will be driven into examining yourself within, in places most of us do not often visit - a reckoning, if you will, with your spirit man and with God.
